General Information

This technical manual contains details of Peer Industries cold roll formed and pressed steel products.
Peer Industries provide this manual for use by Architects, Engineers, Designers, Contractors and Sub-Contractors to assist in product selection and use.
It has been prepared using relevant Australian Standards together with sound engineering principles substantiated through laboratory tests.
Peer Industries cold roll formed and pressed steel products are economical, efficient and durable structural members suitable for a wide range of building applications.
Peer Industries steel products are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards.

Warranty and Design Considerations

Peer Industries warrants for a period of up to 15 years from the date of purchase that the Peer façade system will be free from defects due to factory workmanship or materials providing that:

  1. The project has been designed in accordance with all relevant provisions contained in the current BCA, regulations and Australian Standards in force at the time of the project.
  2. The façade system components are installed and maintained strictly in accordance with the relevant technical literature current at the time of installation
  3. All other products used in conjunction with Peer Industries façade systems products including but not limited to; screws,anchors sealants and jointing systems must be applied or installed and maintained strictly in accordance with relevant manufacturers literature and good trade practice
  4. The claimant’s sole remedy for breach of warranty is (at Peer Industries discretion) that Peer industries will supply replacement product, rectify the effected product or pay for the cost of replacement or rectification of the effected product.

This Peer Technical manual is designed to provide a general guide to the design and application of the Peer façade system.
These systems comprise of top hats, backing strip and an EPDM closed cell foam gasket.
